Description & specs
Which size?
45 cm (18 in): dogs up to about 35 lb (16 kg), such as Corgis, Shelties and smaller Aussies.
55 cm (22 in): dogs from about 35 to 80 lb (16–36 kg), such as Border Collies, Australian Shepherds, Heelers and Malinois.
Between two sizes, or a dog who likes to bite? Go bigger: a bigger ball is harder to grab and gets pushed instead.
90-day Pop Promise
If your ball pops or tears within 90 days of delivery, email us a photo with your order number. We send a free replacement, and you don't need to return the old one. If the replacement fails within the same 90 days, we refund you in full.
No herding ball is indestructible: it's made to be pushed and chased, not chewed. Supervise play and put the ball away if your dog starts chewing it.

Why it works
Herding dogs don't need more toys. They need a job.
Border Collies, Aussies and Heelers were bred to move livestock all day. A ball they can push and steer gives that instinct an outlet, right in your yard.
Built for instinct
Push, chase, steer: the same moves herding breeds were bred for.
Too big to carry
At 45 or 55 cm, it's made to be pushed and herded, not picked up and carried off.
Short, intense sessions
A few minutes of chasing and steering is a real workout, great when walks aren't enough.
Any season
Grass, sand or snow: roll it out in the yard, at the park or on the beach.
Give them a job
15 minutes of real work in the yard
Roll it out and watch the instinct kick in: your dog circles, pushes and steers the ball. Exercise and focus in one, and it's fun to watch.
- No throwing needed: you just watch
- For one dog or the whole pack
- Great for yards, parks and beaches
Easy start
Ready in 3 steps
-
Inflate
Inflate until firm with a standard ball pump and needle.
-

Roll it slowly toward your dog. Some get it instantly, others need a few sessions.
-
Let them work

Size guide
Pick the right size
Size matters: a ball that's too small gets grabbed and carried. The right size gets pushed and herded.
- 1Weigh your dog, or check the last vet visit.
- 2Pick 45 cm up to about 35 lb, and 55 cm from about 35 to 80 lb.
- 3Between two sizes, or a dog who loves to bite? Choose the bigger ball.
| Ball size | Best for |
|---|---|
| 45 cm / 18 in | Up to ~35 lb (16 kg): Corgi, Sheltie, small Aussie |

Questions? We reply by email, in English or French.
Which size should I choose?
45 cm for dogs up to about 35 lb (16 kg), 55 cm for dogs from about 35 to 80 lb (16–36 kg). Between two sizes, go bigger. See the size guide above.
Can my dog pop it?
No herding ball is indestructible. This one is made to be pushed and chased, not chewed. If it pops or tears within 90 days, our Pop Promise covers you: send a photo and we replace it.
My dog isn't a herding breed. Will it work?
Many high-energy dogs love it too, but herding breeds usually take to it fastest. Some dogs need a few short sessions to get the idea.
Can it be used indoors?
It's made for outdoor play: yards, parks and beaches. Indoors, a 45–55 cm ball and an excited dog can be a lot!
How do I inflate it?
Use a standard ball pump with a needle. Inflate until firm, not rock-hard, and check the pressure from time to time.
How long does shipping take?
Shipping is tracked, and the cost is shown at checkout. Orders ship within 1–3 business days; delivery takes about 6–11 business days to the US and 8–15 to Canada.
How does the 90-day Pop Promise work?
Email us a photo of the damage within 90 days of delivery, with your order number. We ship a free replacement. If the replacement fails within the same period, we refund you in full.
Is checkout secure?
Yes. Payments go through Shopify's secure checkout and your card details are encrypted. Available payment methods are shown at checkout.
